Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday, part of Holy Week, marks the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with His disciples. It is a day of solemnity and reflection, observed by Filipino Catholics through Masses and religious rituals such as the Washing of the Feet.

Filipinos also participate in Visita Iglesia, visiting at least seven churches to pray. Many take time off from work and travel to provinces to spend the long weekend in prayer and family fellowship.
