BANIGAN-KAWAYAN FESTIVAL

Tubod, Lanao del Norte. The feast is in honor of San Isidro Labrador with street dancers dressed up in various banana-like costumes. This is a 2 days celebration with vibrant activities and events.

LANZONES FESTIVAL

Camiguin Island. The festival is held to celebrate the abundance of lanzones fruit on the island marked by a street dancing competition involving the youth all dressed up in lanzones leaves or fruits. The lanzones are one of the island’s most important crops. This is a weeklong celebration each year.

CATADUNGAN FESTIVAL

Virac, Catanduanes. This festival commemorates the province’s independence from Albay. This is an annual celebration that takes place every year.

MASSKARA FESTIVAL

This annual festival, which is similar to Brazil’s Rio Carnival, literally translates to “many faces,” and is celebrated every October in Bacolod.
